Fears raised that campervan site could be created at Fisherrow

Residents of Irby reported that a 'building site' appeared overnight on a green belt plot on Townshend Avenue on August 27. A fence has been erected, and trucks and caravans have been seen. Local councillors and police are investigating potential unauthorized development. The 0.9-acre plot was listed for £90,000–£100,000, but the listing has been removed. Wirral Council said it lacks powers to evict as the land is privately owned and is monitoring the situation.

A gang of thieves raided Chelston Motorhomes in Summerfield Way, Chelston Business Park, at about 11 pm on Sunday, August 23. Three motorhomes were stolen and several other vehicles damaged. All three stolen vehicles were later recovered from local streets. Police are investigating, have gathered forensic evidence, and are asking for CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage from the relevant areas.

Machynlleth Town Council has raised no objections to plans by Garth Holiday Park to replace a holiday cabin with six new holiday let pods. Firefighters spent the night at the scene of a grass fire near the village of Hopeman in Moray. Six appliances and a wildfire unit were sent to the scene at around 16:30 on Tuesday, with four appliances remaining at first light. Lossiemouth Community Council said there were believed to have been some power cuts as a result of the fire.
