Ventura County has approved an ordinance banning overnight parking and camping on roads bordering agricultural land, citing safety and contamination concerns. The law, set to take effect in 2026, will initially be enforced with signage on 34 high-priority road segments covering about 20 miles. The county reported a 15% rise in crashes and over 200 cases of farmland trespassing linked to the issue in the past two years.
