The campsite, located along Seonam Valley, is a popular destination for families and camping enthusiasts, offering both camping and stream swimming. The renovation focused on enhancing safety and convenience, including a full overhaul of the bridge and thorough inspections of facilities ahead of the peak season.

Songsusan Wanguisup Natural Recreation Forest in Imsil offers camping, swimming, and cultural events. A local camping weekend is set for August 14-15.

Guri Topyeong Family Campground in South Korea announced it will hold 'Pet Companion Days' from August 14 to 23, 2026. During this period, pets will be allowed on 19 motorhome sites and 6 caravan sites, totaling 25 spots. Reservations must be made through the campground's official website. Booking competition at Apsan campsite reaches 4–5 applications per spot even on weekdays, and the Geumhogang auto campsite is also drawing visitors seeking relief from the heat. The city operates 49 campsites (10 public and 39 private) with 617 tent sites. Officials note that while the peak season is typically August–September, the early heatwave has significantly increased campers since July.
