After an eviction order took effect, dozens of abandoned vehicles have been left on roads around the Downs in Bristol. Judge John Napier granted the city council's application for an anti-social behaviour injunction, citing public risk from rubbish and pollution.

According to the council, nearly 100 people have received help since the new policy began. Of those, four moved to temporary sites, one into social housing, and others into rental accommodation or with relatives. The council began enforcement on May 8, 2025, based on a court order.
