After an eviction order took effect, dozens of abandoned vehicles remained on roads around the Downs in Bristol. Judge John Napier granted the city council's application for an anti-social behaviour injunction, citing public risk from rubbish and pollution.
According to the council, nearly 100 people have received help since the new policy began; four moved to temporary pitches and one to social housing. Another source says some were moved to designated sites, rental housing, or relatives. The forced eviction began on 8 May 2025.
