Motorhome owners reminded to check gross vehicle weight

A Swedish motorhome owner had to cancel a trip to Croatia after his vehicle was found to be overloaded by 475 kg. According to the registration certificate, the motorhome has a gross vehicle weight of 3,500 kg and a kerb weight of 3,080 kg, leaving 420 kg for fuel, passengers, luggage and water. The vehicle was not fully loaded: the tank contained only 20% diesel, 75% water, and no seasonal items. The overload exceeded 13.5%.

Linnea left the big city and moved into a motorhome

Linnea Marklund, a 33-year-old marketer from Arvidsjaur, left her life in Uppsala and moved into a self-built motorhome equipped for full-time living. She has built three motorhomes herself, installing a shower, toilet, induction hob, and an electrical system that allows simultaneous use of a hairdryer and the stove. She works part-time and changes her parking spot daily, staying no more than two nights. She has no plans to return to her old life and hopes a future partner will embrace this lifestyle.

Camper owner charged for selling seized caravan

A man in Sweden has been charged with selling or moving his caravan after it was seized by the Swedish Enforcement Authority (Kronofogden) in September 2025. The caravan, valued at around 200,000 SEK, was finally located and confiscated in June 2026 at the Sudersand Resort on Fårö. The owner reportedly has debts of about 1.2 million SEK. He denies the charges. If convicted, he faces fines or up to one year in prison.

Two Swedish luxury caravans for a million kronor: Polar Chimera and Kabe Imperial

At the Husvagnsexpo in Bromölla, two flagship Swedish-built caravans were presented — the Polar Chimera (Dorotea) and the Kabe Imperial (Tenhult). Both models cost around one million kronor, have a gross weight of about 2.6 tonnes, and require an extended B or E driving licence. According to expert Marcus Dolata, the differences are mainly design-related, while technical specifications and equipment are nearly identical.

Kabe Royal 600 TDL: single-axle caravan with spacious layout

Swedish manufacturer Kabe has introduced the Royal 600 TDL, a single-axle caravan with an interior length of 6 metres and a width of 2.15 metres (optionally 2.35 metres). It features a front lounge, a full-width bathroom with separate shower and toilet, and an L-shaped kitchen with a four-burner hob and a 167-litre fridge. Three bed configurations are available: a French bed (196×140 cm), two single beds, or a double bed with a bunk. Kerb weight is 1,724 kg, maximum weight 2,000 kg. Price starts at €69,280.
