A man in Sweden has been charged with selling or moving his caravan after it was seized by the Swedish Enforcement Authority (Kronofogden) in September 2025. The caravan, valued at around 200,000 SEK, was finally located and confiscated in June 2026 at the Sudersand Resort on Fårö. The owner reportedly has debts of about 1.2 million SEK. He denies the charges. If convicted, he faces fines or up to one year in prison.

At the Husvagnsexpo in Bromölla, two flagship Swedish-built caravans were presented — the Polar Chimera (Dorotea) and the Kabe Imperial (Tenhult). Both models cost around one million kronor, have a gross weight of about 2.6 tonnes, and require an extended B or E driving licence. According to expert Marcus Dolata, the differences are mainly design-related, while technical specifications and equipment are nearly identical.

At the annual vintage car gathering at Gammelvala in Arvika on July 22, 2026, 382 vehicles were displayed. The main attraction for visitors was a red SMV 14 caravan from 1969, fully restored. Owner Madeleine Karlsson Svensk from Sunne noted that the public is drawn by nostalgia for family trips.

Swedish manufacturer Kabe has introduced the Royal 600 TDL, a single-axle caravan with an interior length of 6 metres and a width of 2.15 metres (optionally 2.35 metres). It features a front lounge, a full-width bathroom with separate shower and toilet, and an L-shaped kitchen with a four-burner hob and a 167-litre fridge. Three bed configurations are available: a French bed (196×140 cm), two single beds, or a double bed with a bunk. Kerb weight is 1,724 kg, maximum weight 2,000 kg. Price starts at €69,280.

Skellefteå camping, with 364 pitches for caravans and motorhomes and 65 cabins, has been fully booked since 8–9 July and will remain so for the rest of the week. Overnight stays occur on the folkpark car park by people waiting for a pitch, and the wait can last several nights. The campsite management does not direct visitors there – they stop on their own accord.

First Camp has opened a 17,000 sq m motorhome area in Älmhult. The site offers 42 pitches with self-check-in.
