At the Salon des Véhicules de Loisirs in Le Bourget, the Rapido V64 camper van was presented, built on a Peugeot Boxer with a 140 hp diesel engine. The model measures 6.36 m long and 2.63 m high, with a main rear bed of 195 × 140 cm. The kitchen is relocated to the left side and features a three-part retractable worktop, while the longitudinal central bed with access via rear doors was previously available only in more expensive motorhomes. Pricing starts at €68,900.
French manufacturer Rapido has updated its 2027 model range. Key changes include a new V64 campervan measuring 6.36 m with a central bed, the expansion of the Optimum Line special series to ten models, and the launch of the fully integrated compact motorhome C66i. Optimum Line models come with a 150 Ah lithium battery, 150 W solar panel, 2000 W inverter, automatic gearbox, 16-inch alloy wheels, electric parking brake, and a multimedia system with a 9-inch touchscreen. The C66i is offered exclusively in Optimum Line trim from €91,900. The 666F profile model gains height-adjustable twin beds as an option. New Aurora and Palatina interior ambiances are being rolled out across the range. Prices are valid as of 22 September 2026 and may change during the year.

From 26 September to 4 October 2026, the 60th Salon des Véhicules de Loisirs (SVDL) takes place at Paris-Le Bourget. Hall 2B hosts the "Expo Anniversaire" with about ten historic campers and caravans from 1951–1979.
Dreamer, a brand of the Rapido Group, has unveiled the Lift Van Up 2027, based on the 6.36-metre Fiat Ducato with standard H2 roof height. The camper van features an electrically height-adjustable bed that creates a high rear storage area at the push of a button without removing the bed. An optional pop-top roof increases space. The magazine promobil tested the vehicle over several days after its presentation at the company's headquarters in Mayenne, France.

The 60th Salon des Véhicules de Loisirs will take place from 26 September to 4 October 2026 at the Paris-Le Bourget Exhibition Centre. The 2025 edition attracted nearly 87,000 visitors; the 2026 event expects over 150 exhibitors and 650 vehicles across 70,000 m². For the first time, an exhibition of the earliest models that marked the show's beginnings in the 1960s will be held. Stellantis Pro One will display the Citroën Holidays, Fiat Ducato Châssis Cabine and Captain Chair swivel seats; Rapido will present the Florium Belixter on a Mercedes Sprinter chassis; Pilote will show the Hanroad Switch based on a Renault Trafic; Westfalia will bring the Colombus Liner on a Fiat Ducato L4H3; Font Vendôme will exhibit the Leader Camp Elégance Sky-Up on a Citroën Jumper with a horizontally raising roof; Trigano will present the Chausson X640 Exclusive Line on a Fiat Ducato with an electrically retractable bed. A test centre will offer 25 vehicles for test drives.
The 60th VDL leisure vehicle show will take place from 26 September to 4 October 2026 at the Paris-Le Bourget exhibition centre. 150 exhibitors and 650 models are expected from European manufacturers including the Trigano, Pilote, Rapido and Hymer groups, as well as chassis suppliers Citroën, Fiat, Ford, Mercedes-Benz and Peugeot. According to UNI-VDL, 26,328 new leisure vehicles were registered in France last season: sales of coachbuilt, integrated and alcove motorhomes rose by 2.54% (11,918 units), while campervans and van conversions fell by 2.41% (14,410 units). In Europe, 215,000 new vehicles were registered in 2025, with Germany the largest market (75,368 new motorhomes sold), followed by France.
At the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, Concorde unveiled the new Centurion class with a modern oak interior, a large bathroom with macerator toilet and digital headlights; prices start at approximately 800,000 euros. The company also switched from Mastervolt to Victron for electrical systems and invested 10 million euros in a new service centre for its 45th anniversary. Frankia introduced the 8.3-metre Noctra Liner with tandem axle and the 6.99-metre Neo Liner with face-to-face layout and electric lift bed for two, while Dethleffs showed the c.core concept with solar panels in the awning, the new Graneo on Mercedes Sprinter with a 5.5-tonne chassis and the affordable Just Van. Rapido presented the V64 camper van with a completely new layout and pull-out table, Adria displayed the updated Alpina winter caravan, 2.50 metres wide in type 763 UK, and Bürstner exhibited the Habiton HMX 6.1, a 6-metre Mercedes camper van with a 2-metre-wide bed.
A review of new 2027 model year motorhomes and campervans has identified five key trends. These include the three-storey Westfalia Columbus Liner with an optional roof terrace, central-bed campervans from Rapido and Campérêve, the La Strada Avanti R with a rear lounge and electric bed, and the Bürstner Habiton 6.1 with a full-length body extension. Other trends noted are coloured and special editions (Laika, Hymer, Eura Mobil), off-road versions (Carado, Sunlight, Pössl), redesigned interiors (Mobilvetta, Autostar) and new compact models (McLouis, Chausson, Dethleffs, Roller Team).
Norwegian dealer Sør Caravan has announced it is now a dealer for French motorhome brand Rapido. The first vehicles have already been produced and are on their way to the dealership; new Rapido models will be on display in the showroom within days. The company is also taking orders for 2027 models, and its service department has already started working with Rapido, allowing customers to access sales, service and support in one place. Rapido's model range spans from compact motorhomes to large, fully integrated models.
The 2026 Düsseldorf Caravan Salon showcased new motorhomes, caravans and camper vans. Among the exhibits were the Reisemobile ATventure 1070 motorhome, 10.7 m long on a Mercedes-Benz Actros chassis with a slide-out kitchen and roof terrace; the Dethleffs c.core concept camper van on a Volkswagen Crafter with a lightweight aluminium Necto body; the Beauer X6 caravan with a sliding section that expands width to 3.6 m; the Bürstner Habiton 6.1 camper van on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with 4x4; the Norantz IPAR 4 on a Mercedes or MAN chassis; the Westfalia Columbus Liner on a Fiat with an optional SkyLounge pop-up roof; the Rapido V64 on a Ducato; and the Adria Supertwin 4x4 on a Mercedes. Volkswagen presented inflatable modules for the California Beach and the all-electric ID. California Cruise based on the ID. Buzz, with production starting in 2027. The second gathering of motorhome travellers, organised by the YouTube channel Un autre Voyage, took place from 28 to 30 August in Nant on the Larzac plateau. More than 30 crews from across France attended in motorhomes, campervans, 4x4s and vans. The publication interviewed five crews about their vehicle choices, from a self-converted Ford Transit to a heavy-duty Frankia motorhome. Interviewees also included owners of a Fuso 4x4 with a Skapade body, a Fiat Ducato L1H1 and a used Rapido motorhome priced under €30,000.
In May 2026, Julien Pierchon, a dentist from Pas-de-Calais, began seeing patients in a mobile dental office built into an old Rapido camper. The conversion was carried out by CDO Médical, a company based in Andouillé, Mayenne. The project, funded by €30,000 raised by Pierchon in October 2025, aims to treat people without health insurance. The first patients were received at the administrative detention center in Coquelle.
French Rapido Group will present a new camper van based on the Fiat Ducato with a queen bed at the Düsseldorf Caravan Salon (August 28 – September 6). The 6.36 m vehicle is sold under the Rapido (V64) and Dreamer (D64 Select) brands. The layout places the kitchen behind the driver's seat and a two-seat bench by the sliding door. The bed measures 1.95×1.40 m and is accessible from both sides. Base price is €71,000; the fully equipped Dreamer Saphir version costs €79,000.
Rapido has launched the Optimum Line limited edition for the 2027 model year, covering ten models: campervans, compact and classic semi-integrated, and fully integrated motorhomes. The series comes fully equipped: 150 Ah lithium battery, 150 W solar panel, 2000 W inverter, diesel heater, compressor fridge, 140 hp automatic transmission, 16-inch alloy wheels, electric parking brake, 9-inch multimedia station with rear-view camera. Prices range from €71,900 for the V55 to €93,900 for the 896F.
French manufacturer Rapido has unveiled a 65 Aniversario series of motorhomes to mark its 65th anniversary. The series includes two models on FIAT chassis: the C86i integral and the C86 low-profile. Both feature a 149-litre compressor fridge, TRUMA Combi heating, a 150 W solar panel and a 100 Ah lithium battery. The models are available at Valcaravan dealer in Valencia.
French manufacturer Rapido has introduced the C66i, an integrated motorhome measuring 6.99 m in length and 2.17 m in width. It features twin beds, a full bathroom with separate shower, and face-to-face seating. Such layouts are typically found in motorhomes from 7.5 m. The Optimum Line version is priced at €97,200.
French brand Itineo (part of the Rapido Group) has unveiled a fully revamped motorhome lineup for 2027. Models feature a new front design, modern interiors with felt-look surfaces and hidden cabinet handles. To mark the brand's 20th anniversary, special '20 ans' editions are offered with extensive standard equipment, including a 140 hp engine with automatic transmission, Pioneer multimedia system, rearview camera, diesel heater, and solar panel. Prices for semi-integrated models start at €59,600, for fully integrated models at €80,300.

Bryan and Luzaan Wright of Gosberton Risegate reported the theft of their Rapido 640 motorhome from their driveway at 5:57 a.m. on June 17, but police did not arrive until 12:30 p.m. on June 19. Thieves used an angle grinder to cut the gate lock and pushed the owners' Nissan Navara into a dyke to clear the path. Police attributed the delay to other ongoing incidents; inquiries are ongoing.

To accommodate the bed, the layout is redesigned: the kitchen moves to the left side behind the driver‘s seat, and a two-person bench is placed by the sliding door. The van includes a spacious bathroom with a pivoting sink, a large compressor fridge, and a fold-out table. Prices have not been announced.
