Free parking and overnight stays in campers at Namwon's Chunhyangje Festival

In Jinju, South Gyeongsang Province, a camping trailer mounted a curb and tilted heavily near the entrance of Gyeongsang National University Hospital. The exact cause of the incident has not yet been determined. The event has renewed focus on trailer towing safety and the issue of long-term roadside parking of such vehicles.

Dutch company Vantrack has developed the LightCamp based on the Kia PV5 Passenger. The system of removable modules allows the vehicle to be used as a 5-seat electric van on weekdays and as a 4-berth camper on weekends. Byeonsanbando National Park in Buan County, South Korea, has added hanok-style caravans at Jiksocheon Campground, which opened in May 2026. At the Tokyo Camping Car Show 2026, four Japanese camper van converters, official Kia dealers, presented their versions of the new Kia PV5 electric minivan. The 4.7-metre-long model features a sliding door and is positioned as an alternative to the Toyota HiAce for sleeping in the car.

Danho Sand Park, a recreational facility in Andong, South Korea, will partially reopen on July 16 after a 2.6 billion won renovation. The former foot volleyball court has been converted into a children's water play area and playground, and the basketball court into a 6-hole mini golf course and lawn. Camping decks have been expanded from 3×6 m to 5×8 m to accommodate large family tents. Reservations for August will open on July 14 at 9 PM via the park's website.
