Scot Scoop News has published an article on how van lifers and content creators describe different levels of mobility within the lifestyle. Full-time van lifer Beth Atencio said a therapist encouraged her to spend more time outdoors after a divorce, which eventually led her to buy a camper van. She spent 90 days travelling solo across the country after her youngest son graduated from college. Atencio runs the Beth’s MidLifeAdventure channels, with over 20,000 YouTube subscribers and over 50,000 Instagram followers, and operates her content business from the van. Researcher Rodriguez says mobility is the defining measure: the farther someone can afford to travel, the higher they sit on the spectrum.
