RV Overnights, a founder-owned membership platform connecting RVers with small-business hosts for overnight stays, announced a partnership with Campers Inn RV, the largest family-operated RV dealership group in the U.S. Every customer who buys a new or used RV from Campers Inn RV will receive a complimentary one-year RV Overnights membership, and customers who spend more than $2,000 on service also receive a complimentary one-year membership. In Hart County, Kentucky, fire crews from Horse Cave, Cave City and Munfordville responded to a camper fire that reached the woodline on Riordan Road off KY-218. As of 3 p.m., the fire was still active. A prescribed burn by the Office of Kentucky Nature Reserves is also underway on Rush Island Bend Road.

Construction to begin soon on new RV park in southeast Wichita Falls

Construction of Falls Ranch RV Resort is set to start soon on open land off Jacksboro Highway in Wichita Falls, Texas, near the intersection with Rathgeber Road. The project is estimated to cost $3.5 million and will have 176 RV spots, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Partner Brad K. Rodgers said completion will take six to eight months, depending on weather. The Wichita Falls City Council approved rezoning and a conditional use permit; on Tuesday the council also approved a zoning change for another new RV park at Huntington Lane and Northwest Freeway.

Tru Form Tiny has built a wheeled home for a family from Louisville, Kentucky, based on a 34-foot tri-axle gooseneck trailer. The interior includes two bedrooms, a kitchen with a refrigerator, oven, four-burner propane stove and dishwasher, and a bathroom with a separate bathtub, washer-dryer and incinerating toilet. Power is provided by a rooftop solar system with batteries, a wood stove for heating and a mini-split air conditioner for cooling. The price is not disclosed because the home was custom-built.

The property, known as Patton’s Playground RV Development, is located along State Highway 72, approximately 33 miles from Quartzsite and 40 miles from Parker. It is pre-zoned and pre-permitted for 140 RV and park model sites, with approximately $331,774 already invested in entitlements and approvals. A feasibility study has been completed. Conceptual plans indicate potential for approximately 350 units, subject to additional approvals.

Truma and RVTI extend training partnership through 2026

Truma and the RV Technical Institute (RVTI) are continuing their training partnership through 2026. Free two-day courses on Truma's heating, hydronic, cooling, and water-heating systems are held at RVTI's campus in Elkhart, Indiana. Courses are open to everyone without prerequisites, but technicians seeking Level 3 Appliance Specialty credit must already hold Level 1 and Level 2 certifications. Attendees earn 16 Continuing Education Credits and fulfill Truma's own training requirements. Remaining dates: Oct. 20-21, Nov. 17-18, Dec. 15-16.
