Camper vans can enter Monaco but may park only in two designated areas: Parking des Écoles in Fontvieille (up to 15 vehicles no longer than 7 meters, €40 per 24 hours) and Parking des Pêcheurs at the foot of le Rocher. Sleeping inside vehicles is prohibited because these are parking facilities, not campsites; hotel rates in the Principality start at around €500 per night. Caravans are not allowed on Monaco's roads, with signs at the entrances stating the restriction.
