Starting July 1, the California Department of Parks and Recreation will enforce stricter penalties for campers who fail to cancel reservations on time. No-shows will forfeit their full deposit and receive a penalty mark. After three such marks within a year, the user's account will be restricted from using the ReserveCalifornia website for 365 days, and bookings can only be made in person at a park visitor center.
