Dutch research institute TNO is developing ultra-thin solar film based on perovskite cells for caravans and motorhomes. With nearly €50 million in subsidies, the innovation is expected to be market-ready within four years. The film is much lighter than conventional panels and can be applied directly to the vehicle's surface. First models are expected around 2030.
