California-based startup Aboard (also referred to as Aboard RV) has introduced the hybrid electric T4 travel trailer, designed for extended off-grid living. It features a 41 kWh battery and a 60 kW onboard generator, together providing over 200 kWh of onboard energy. The claimed autonomy is up to 7 days without shore power.
The trailer measures about 24 feet (7.3 m) in length and weighs 2950 kg. It is equipped with a self-propelled axle that reduces the load on the towing vehicle and extends range. Pricing starts at $80,000, which sources say is significantly lower than competitors Pebble and Lightship. Orders are open with a refundable $100 deposit. Deliveries are scheduled for early 2027.
