Choice Hotels International has entered into an agreement to acquire Harvest Hosts from Stripes and other shareholders in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $130 million. The deal is expected to close on October 1, 2026.
Harvest Hosts connects RV travelers with more than 11,200 host locations, including breweries, museums, wineries, and farms. The company will continue to operate as a standalone business under its current name; Joel Holland will remain CEO, and all employees will join Choice.
This is the first deal under the leadership of Dom Dragisich, appointed president and CEO last month, and the company's first move outside the hotel business. Stripes, which bought Harvest Hosts in 2021 for $37 million, is among the sellers. The deal is funded from cash on hand and a revolving credit facility. Choice does not expect a material impact on its 2026 financial results and maintains its existing share repurchase plans. Choice shares rose about 0.7% in premarket trading after the announcement.
