In June 2025, nine Chinese ministries, including the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, designated motorhome camping as a priority for the automotive aftermarket. In September, the State Council forwarded ten ministries' measures to stimulate motorhome consumption, covering service life, registration, parking, campsite construction, rental and financial support. Jiangsu province, home to 1,065 motorhome enterprises, hosts the town of Chenji in Yangzhou, where three manufacturers — Weihang, Saide and Romanters — produce one in ten privately sold motorhomes in China; in 2025 the town sold 1,582 vehicles worth 612 million yuan. In the first half of 2025, 12,153 motorhomes were registered nationwide, up 32.6% year on year, with total sales of about 23,000 units in 2025.
