US-based Mammoth Overland has unveiled the off-road caravan XLE (Xtinction-Level Escape), priced from $123,994. The model features bulletproof windows, HEPA filtration, Starlink connectivity, night vision cameras, and a Geiger counter. Built on an aircraft-grade aluminum chassis with 559 mm ground clearance and a 1,200 Ah lithium battery, deliveries are scheduled for Q4 2026.

Airstream announced the 2027 Rangeline 21PL, based on the Ram ProMaster 3500. The camper van measures 20 feet 11 inches and starts at $173,400. It features a powered loft bed, a flexible Smartbench, and a wet bath with shower. Designed for up to four people, it includes an off-grid system with 3.5 kWh lithium batteries, a 3,000-watt inverter, 200 watts of solar panels, and a gasoline generator.

The Boys & Girls’ Club in Elkhart County, Indiana, partnered with Jayco and Thor to host ‘RV Day’ for children. The event featured hands-on activities, interactive stations, and RV experiences. Northern Indiana, often called the ‘RV Capital of the World,’ produces over 80% of RVs built in the United States. Insomniac rebrands Beyond Wonderland Chicago as Beyond Wonderland Midwest, moving to Chicagoland Speedway for a three-day event on June 11–13, 2027. On-site camping, including RV and car camping, will be available for the first time. Tickets go on sale June 19.

The City Council of Waterloo, Oregon, voted to enforce city ordinances regarding RV habitation. During a June 9 meeting, the council discussed cases where RVs were used for temporary stays without septic hookups and with unsafe electrical connections. The council rejected a hardship clause for individual cases, citing the need for equal enforcement. Letters reminding residents of ordinances and cleanup days will be distributed.

Tom Svan, 82, from New Hampshire, converted a used Mercedes Sprinter into a motorhome for about 150,000 SEK ($14,000). The vehicle features solar panels, a 33 kg battery, a hidden toilet under the stove, and a quick-assembly shower. When snow falls, Svan leaves his house and travels south.
