Thirteen homeless people living in makeshift shelters at Wilks Park in Wagga Wagga have been ordered to leave by 7 July. The city council says it is acting under a Homelessness Encampment Response Plan led by Homes NSW, but Homes NSW denies initiating the eviction. Advocates have filed a notice of objection and plan to monitor the eviction.
