On the night of July 7, a convoy of 74 caravans illegally occupied a 7-hectare private plot classified as a Natura 2000 zone in Chinon, Indre-et-Loire. Owner Stéphane Archambault, a farmer, estimates a 50% loss of forage yield for the next year. The group had been evicted from the neighboring municipality of Avoine a week earlier.
