Motorhomes are lined up along a road near Meymac (Corrèze), with fans arriving early to secure viewing spots for the Tour de France stage. Two retired couples from Pas-de-Calais and Yonne met at the Grand Bornand stage in 2018 and have met every summer since. Rapido has launched the Optimum Line limited edition for the 2027 model year, covering ten models: campervans, compact and classic semi-integrated, and fully integrated motorhomes. The series comes fully equipped: 150 Ah lithium battery, 150 W solar panel, 2000 W inverter, diesel heater, compressor fridge, 140 hp automatic transmission, 16-inch alloy wheels, electric parking brake, 9-inch multimedia station with rear-view camera. Prices range from €71,900 for the V55 to €93,900 for the 896F.

French farmer reports illegal occupation of protected land by 74 caravans

On the night of July 7, a convoy of 74 caravans illegally occupied a 7-hectare private plot classified as a Natura 2000 zone in Chinon, Indre-et-Loire. Owner Stéphane Archambault, a farmer, estimates a 50% loss of forage yield for the next year. The group had been evicted from the neighboring municipality of Avoine a week earlier. Mayor Jean-Luc Dupont issued an eviction order but said enforcement depends on the prefect.
