Off-road camper based on Volkswagen Crafter ready for series production

Sunlight has unveiled the IBEX off-road camper, built on the Volkswagen Crafter. It features reinforced suspension, a snorkel, a front bull bar, and mud tires. Inside, there is a 2×1.4 m bed, kitchen, shower, and toilet. Power comes from a 2.0L TDI diesel engine with 163 hp and an 8-speed automatic. Sales in Europe start in August 2025; pricing will be announced later.

Motorhome overturns on A2 highway — two injured

On May 30, 2026, a motorhome overturned on the A2 highway near Burg, Germany, while heading toward Berlin. A 64-year-old Dutch driver lost control, hit the central barrier, then the vehicle rolled over and came to rest on the right guardrail. The driver and his 63-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospitals. Traffic was disrupted during the investigation and recovery.

Motorhome parking in Fürstenfeldbruck reopens

The motorhome parking area on Klosterstraße in Fürstenfeldbruck, opposite the Amperoase, has reopened after renovations. The facility was transferred from the city to private operator Camping-Car Park. New features include a barrier, water supply and waste disposal points, and CCTV. The site accommodates up to 22 motorhomes, with a fee of 16 euros for 24 hours, including electricity, water, and Wi-Fi.
