Duke Employees Accused of Power Theft at RV Park

Louis Anthony Robles, 45, of Kissimmee, was arrested on June 12 after attempting to evade law enforcement in an RV. During the pursuit, he weaved through traffic and struck two other vehicles. Robles faces charges including DUI, fleeing with lights and sirens, leaving the scene of an accident with injuries, and drug possession.

The Michigan DNR and Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency have designated 11 state parks where fireworks will be banned on Independence Day as a courtesy to veterans with PTSD, pet owners, and others sensitive to loud noises. Participating parks, including Tahquamenon Falls State Park, will post signage and inform visitors of the regulations. Most projectile fireworks like bottle rockets and roman candles are already illegal in state parks, while sparklers and ground spinners remain allowed.

Volkswagen has launched a Good Night Package for the ID. Buzz in Germany at €2,600 (approx. $2,950), including a mattress, blackout blinds, ventilation grilles, and an outdoor dining set. This package will form the basis for the ID. Buzz Tourer 4Motion, the first factory camper van Volkswagen will offer in the US since 2003. The US model is expected in 2027, with pricing yet to be announced.

Tune Outdoor has introduced the Tune Interior Systems, a modular range of components for its M1 and M1L pickup campers. Options include benches, counters with water systems, and club/bench combos. The components are made from powder-coated aluminum and Richlite, resistant to rust and rot. Prices start at $1,800 for a single bench.

Police arrested Loyed Clayton Yost, owner of Clayton Construction, for allegedly stealing more than $112,000 from a 67-year-old RV park owner in Bruceville-Eddy, Texas. According to an affidavit, the victim paid Yost $124,550 in February-March 2022 to add 30 RV spaces, roads, and utilities, but the work was never completed. Yost has prior theft charges related to construction work in McLennan and Burnet counties.
