Closure of the site
As of Monday, 21 September, the campervan site on avenue de la Combattante in Courseulles-sur-Mer is permanently closed. Parking on this area is definitively prohibited. The 22-space site opened in 2021.
Reasons and plans
The town hall explains the decision by the intention to improve campervan reception conditions in the commune. The free site had no facilities, which made it impossible to ensure visitor comfort, compliance with environmental standards and the quality of life of local residents. The existing site at Parc de l'Edith is to be expanded, modernised and equipped in accordance with standards and necessary services.
Future use of the plot
The vacated plot will host a new facility for residents and visitors, the project for which will be presented later. The town hall states that housing construction is not planned there.
