US company Bitterroot Builds presents camper van based on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter for off-road

Village officials in Gouverneur, New York, are exploring the creation or amendment of a local law to take action against owners of blighted campers. The initiative, led by the new code enforcement officer, aims to address complaints about rust, rodent infestations, and other deterioration. Mayor Ron McDougall expects the new law to be in place within a few months to improve the village's aesthetics.

Rossmonster has introduced two off-road motorhomes: the Baja Plus, built on a Ford F-550 or Ram 5500 chassis, and the Baja Trail 72. The Baja Plus emphasizes space and autonomy, while the Trail 72 focuses on compactness and durability. The Trail 72 features a Carli Pintop suspension, 37-inch BFGoodrich KO2 tires, foldable dinette, bed, refrigerator, induction cooktop, and 12V climate control. Both models are designed for extended travel in harsh conditions.

The RV Industry Association (RVIA) Standards team held a seminar at the Lerner Theatre on May 21 with over 70 attendees. The seminar reviewed changes to the 2026 NFPA 1192, 2026 NEC 70, and the 2025 Standard for DC Voltage Systems in Recreational Vehicles, as well as the 2025 ANSI 119.5 and 2023 Z240. A PDF of the slideshow and a Q&A document are now available. Due to reorganization of NFPA 1192 and the DC voltage standard, RVIA created an Excel tool to help locate corresponding section numbers between versions. Mandatory enforcement begins September 1. A virtual Q&A session is scheduled for Tuesday, June 23, from 2-4 p.m. ET.

Kampgrounds of America (KOA) announced the completion of a major expansion at Wisconsin Dells KOA Holiday in Wisconsin. The project added new deluxe RV patio sites with stamped-concrete patios, Polywood furniture, and grilling areas. According to KOA, campers injected $66 billion into local economies in 2025, spending an average of over $200 daily.
