Municipal wardens or tourist inspectors can issue an on-the-spot fine of €130 for overnight stays outside official campsites, including beaches and parking lots. Fines revenue goes to the municipal budget. Individuals caught camping in unauthorized areas face fines from €190 to €1,320.
