Campbellton, New Brunswick, will increase the number of seasonal lots at its waterfront RV park to a maximum of 37 in 2027, after some campers were turned away this summer. Seasonal rates range from C$2,000 to C$2,200 depending on the site, while daily rates vary from C$39.28 in the low season to C$61.89 at peak. A committee will be formed to oversee park operations, including site allocation and staffing.

An Alberta Employment Standards Appeal Body has rejected a worker's overtime claim against an Edson, Alta., RV park, finding his account of working 12-hour days, seven days a week not credible. The appeal by 1701104 Alberta Ltd., owner of Edson RV Park & Campground, overturned a July 2025 order for $22,230 in overtime, $3,225 in wages, $681 in vacation pay, and $1,107.86 in general holiday pay. The worker, employed from October 2023 to August 2024 as a 'park supervisor' or 'park manager,' performed mostly janitorial and maintenance duties, which the body said did not qualify as managerial.

The Gitmaxmak'ay Nisga'a Prince Rupert/Port Edward Society has completed the purchase of the Prince Rupert RV Campground on Park Avenue. The deal closed on Sept. 4. CEO Brandon Haldane called the acquisition the Society's largest investment to date, roughly five times larger than previous ones. Existing tenants will not be evicted and rental rates will not change. The Society plans to rename the property Anjoḵ, a Nisga'a word for a camping place, and incorporate Nisga'a cultural elements into signage and improvements.

A new campground in southwestern Nova Scotia offers visitors access to backcountry areas. Located near Lower Stave Lake, the campground opened on June 30. By August, over 30 bookings had been made, drawing visitors from across the province. Rates are $40-$45 per night. Amenities include outhouses, but no water on site, so visitors must bring their own. The campground also serves as a pilot for future projects, including cabin and yurt rentals.

The Tourist Campground Licensing Bylaw will be discussed again on Sept. 8, when an Ontario council decides whether to refer the issue to the incoming council elected in October. The bylaw would likely strengthen the township's ability to issue, revoke and amend operational licenses for campgrounds, creating a new licensing framework in addition to the regulatory system in place since 2021. Camping In Ontario (CIO), an advocacy group for private and public campgrounds, has criticized the bylaw and has been involved in its development for three years.

The Lac Bellevue Legion Campground in Alberta celebrated its 50th anniversary this summer. Veterans, Royal Canadian Legion members, community leaders, volunteers and families attended the event. The campground has served as a gathering place for veterans and their families, as well as a venue for community events.

Greek TV host Sakis Tanimanidis, his wife Christina Bomba and their twin daughters completed a long family road trip in Canada in a motorhome. In a video posted on Instagram, he described the challenges of such a vacation, including washing dishes with limited water and cramped sleeping quarters.
