Leinster 84Ireland's Department of Defence is seeking a court injunction to ban caravans from the Curragh racecourse lands in County Kildare. The court has joined 28 individuals who recently placed their caravans there.
Mountcrest Caravan Park Ltd has applied for planning permission to retain 20 existing caravans in Bundoran. The company also seeks permission for 18 new static caravans at Magheracar. The development includes a new access road, utility infrastructure, a children's play area, and an all-weather pitch.
Cork County Council has launched an investigation into the possible illegal discharge of effluent by boat and campervan owners. The move follows complaints about coastal pollution, including the loss of Blue Flag status at Fountainstown Beach. The county has only one civic campervan/motorhome facility with waste disposal, in Cobh, but reports have emerged of human waste being dumped into the sea near Cuskinny beach and other scenic spots in West Cork.

Glenties area councillor Michael McClafferty has called on all camper van drivers to use proper waste disposal facilities in County Donegal. McClafferty stated that regardless of whether the water was waste, such behavior is unacceptable. He emphasized that sufficient public and private disposal sites are available in the area.
Lynder’s Holiday Park in Roosky, Ireland, is among 14 winners of FBD Insurance’s 2026 SME Advertising Support Campaign. The park will receive a fully funded multi-channel advertising campaign valued at €25,000, including Out of Home, radio, print and digital media placements. The total prize pool was €350,000, and the number of supported businesses increased from seven in 2024 to 14 in 2026.
