Council set to approve £100k plan for new seafront motorhome site

Broadland District Council has again refused a planning application for a 20-pitch caravan site at Black Barn Farm in Salhouse, Norfolk. The rejection is based on nutrient neutrality rules, a government measure to prevent river pollution. Owner Trevor Thain's previous attempt in 2022 was also denied due to environmental concerns.

Rachel Pyrah, 45, was sentenced for causing serious injury by careless driving after losing control of her Peugeot Boxer campervan on the B6265 at Fellbeck on 31 May 2024. From 15 June 2026, the m.connect bus service will add a stop at Silver Sands Caravan Site on the 333 Burghead to Lossiemouth route.
