Rules and safety for car camping and overnight stays in vehicles

Imsil County (North Jeolla Province) ran the 'Imsil Daengdaeng Camping' program on June 20–21 at Osuuigum National Leisure Campground. 36 participants with dogs were selected. The program included caravan accommodation, dog water play, barbecue, a talk concert, and a visit to Imsil Cheese Theme Park. It aims to extend tourist stays and increase local spending as part of depopulation response measures.

Lulune Auto Camping in Chungju (North Chungcheong Province) is located on the site of a former school. The grounds feature century-old trees, and former classrooms have been converted into common facilities. Site rental starts at 30,000 won; advance reservation is required.

Chonamsan Auto Camping in Gunsan, built in 2014 for 3.3 billion won, has been idle since October 2025. The city held 10 private operation tenders, all of which failed. Alternatives include an 18-hole park golf course or a dog park.

Gochang County (North Jeolla Province, South Korea) has opened nine glamping cabins at the Gochang Getbol auto-camping site, equipped with tents, sleeping bags, and kitchen utensils. Reservations are available through the county's unified booking system.

South Korean company Sinil Electronics has introduced three portable home appliances designed for camping, motorhomes, and travel. The lineup includes a folding fan, a multi-cooker, and a mini air cooler. Sales of Sinil folding fans increased by 180% in January–May 2025 compared to the same period last year.

As more consumers plan camping, vanlife, and domestic travel for summer, the outdoor appliance market is shifting toward compact, multi-functional portable devices. Manufacturers are launching products that blur the line between indoor and outdoor use, emphasizing portability and versatility.
