The municipal council of Ascoli Piceno has approved guidelines to transfer management of all public parking spaces to the newly formed fully municipal company Multiservizi Piceni. By the end of 2026, the city will redeem 2,471 paid parking spaces currently operated by Saba, including 760 spaces in the former Gil and Porta structures and 1,981 on-street spaces in the city center and surroundings. Starting in 2027, the municipality will have full control over parking tariffs and operations. Five new parking areas have been identified: two for short-term parking (San Pietro in Castello and the area between via 3 Ottobre and via De Dominicis) and three for tourist vehicles — two for campers (viale Rozzi and San Marco) and one for tourist buses (via dell'Aspo).
