A camper rally on the path of St. Francis

The Raduno Francescano in Camper 2026 is a guided motorhome road trip through the heart of Umbria, organised to mark the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi (1226–2026). Participants travel in their campers along the Franciscan route, visiting Gubbio, La Verna, Assisi, Foligno, Bevagna and Spello — a string of medieval towns and Franciscan sanctuaries.

The rally is split into two stages: from 5 to 10 September participants are hosted in dedicated camper service areas in Gubbio and Foligno, with collective bus transfers to each site; from 11 to 12 September the groups gather near Santa Maria degli Angeli in Assisi. It is a spiritual and cultural journey aimed at camperists who want to combine vanlife with history, faith and the landscapes of central Italy.

Laika Kreos switches to Mercedes-Benz chassis

Laika has updated its Kreos range, which from the 2026/27 season will exclusively use Mercedes-Benz chassis. The first model is the Kreos Integrale H 5109 MB, based on the Sprinter 417 with 170 hp, a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission and an AL-KO chassis. It will debut at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf in 2026. Three new exterior color options, inspired by sports cars, have also been introduced.

Portonovo approves Il Conero campsite project for 516 guests

Authorities have approved the reopening of the former Adriatico campsite in Portonovo, to be renamed Il Conero. The project allows up to 516 guests during peak season (July 16–September 30) and 104 pitches, plus 56–66 parking spaces. Preparatory work has begun, with opening planned for summer 2027. Permits were issued by the Ancona municipality and the Conero regional park.

Teleco TEB310: A single unit to manage all motorhome electrics

Italian group Teleco has unveiled the TEB310, a control and power distribution unit that combines a battery charger, power distribution and fuse protection in one compact box. Presented on 11 May 2026, the system is aimed at motorhome manufacturers for factory installation. Two versions are available: analogue TEB310AL and digital TEB310D, supporting four battery types. It integrates with the TBooster Pro 1245 DC-DC booster.
