On June 29 at 7:30 p.m., the CatchNet arrester system on U.S. 16 west of Buffalo, Wyoming, was deployed. An RV and a concessions trailer entered the cable nets and were stopped at the second gate; both vehicles were totaled. Six people were injured and transported to Johnson County Healthcare System in Buffalo, reported in stable condition. The highway was closed for several hours while debris was cleared and two nets replaced.
