Encore RV introduces lightweight aluminium trailers aimed at EV drivers

Encore RV has launched a range of compact travel trailers made of aluminium, designed to reduce the impact of towing on electric vehicle driving range. The 12RKFB model fits under a standard seven-foot garage door and features a slide-out kitchen, outdoor wet bath, and 400-watt solar system. The 14RKB is six inches taller and includes a full indoor bathroom. All trailers are wood-free, using aluminium cabinetry and structural components, and include a DC-to-DC charging system that draws power from the tow vehicle.

Airstream launches Rangeline 21PL camper van with powered loft bed for four

Airstream has introduced the Rangeline 21PL Touring Coach, a Class B motorhome built on a Ram ProMaster 3500 chassis. It features a powered lift bed that lowers to sleep two and stows flush against the ceiling, enabling four-person occupancy without a pop-up roof. The vehicle measures 20 feet 11 inches in length, has a gross weight of 9,350 lbs, and a payload of 1,290 lbs. Pricing starts at $173,400.

Perfect Van has launched the Fox motorhome based on the Ford Transit 4x4. Terex’s Recreational Vehicles segment introduced its model year 2027 lineup at a Dealer Summit in Indianapolis, featuring updates across American Coach, Fleetwood, Holiday Rambler and Renegade RV brands. The new Renegade Explorer TS, built on a Freightliner Cascadia 116 chassis with a second powered rear axle, includes a 12.5kW generator, 540Ah lithium battery system and factory-installed Starlink. MY27 models offer expanded lithium batteries, larger inverters and upgraded solar packages for extended off-grid capability.

Chengde Muniu Di Outdoor Equipment Sales Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of travel trailers, achieved annual revenue of 12 million yuan (about $1.7 million) through a livestream-based sales strategy. Since 2023, the company shifted from traditional offline channels to digital marketing, broadcasting live from its showroom and production workshops. Over two years, it accumulated 45,000 followers on social media, primarily end users and wholesale buyers, expanded sales nationwide, and began receiving overseas orders.

Hyundai Motor Group boosts hybrid production in US amid rising RV demand

Hyundai Motor Group is adjusting its US production strategy by expanding hybrid output at the HMGMA plant, originally built for EVs. By May 2025, cumulative US hybrid sales reached about 1.487 million units, with 65% from RV models (SUVs and minivans). The Tucson Hybrid led sales (258,000), followed by Sportage Hybrid (199,000) and Santa Fe Hybrid (159,000). Kia recently started Sportage Hybrid production at HMGMA, turning the plant into a flexible facility for both EVs and hybrids.

Changan Hunter Feizhu pickup motorhome launched at 24.98 million yuan

Changan Fengjing RV has launched the Changan Hunter Feizhu, a new pickup-based motorhome priced at 24.98 million yuan. Built on the Changan Hunter K70 chassis, it is positioned as a hybrid off-road pickup motorhome. It features a 2.0-liter BlueCore hybrid powertrain with dual electric motors, delivering a combined torque of 555 Nm, and a 43.47 kWh CATL battery with 2C fast charging. Total energy capacity in full charge and fuel mode is 239 kWh. The removable aluminum living module allows the vehicle to be used as a regular pickup for daily commuting. Inside, it offers sleeping space for 3–4 people, a folding table, and a sink. Standard equipment includes a 2 kW induction cooker, carbon monoxide and smoke alarms, and a 2 kg fire extinguisher.

Evotrex, a developer of hybrid caravans, has closed a $30 million Series A round, bringing total funding to $46 million. Investors include GSR United Capital, Forebright Concerto Capital, Pegasus Capital, TTGG Ventures, and seed investor Anker. The PG5 model features a 43 kWh battery, 1.5 kW solar panels, and a 75 kW gasoline generator, enabling off-grid stays of up to 7 days. It also supports regenerative braking and V2V charging at up to 60 kW. The Premium trim is priced at approximately $159,990.

MDC has launched the XT16HR East West MK4, a hard-floor hybrid off-road caravan for the Australian market. Overseas buyer acquires Hahei Beach Resort for $45m

An overseas buyer paid $45m for Hahei Beach Resort on the Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand, with approval from the Overseas Investment Office. Tasman Tourism New Zealand, a joint venture between an Australian private equity firm and a UAE-based investment company, also bought Raglan Sunset Motel for $5m. Both properties were sold by New Zealand investment group Hahei Beach Limited, which purchased them in 2015 for $13.25m and $3.88m respectively.

Chinese motorhome for 3.5 million rubles: Xingyu Dongfeng Xiaokang arrives in Russia

A new Chinese motorhome, the Xingyu Dongfeng Xiaokang 2026, has entered the Russian market. Built on a Dongfeng Xiaokang chassis, it measures 5780 × 2115 × 2790 mm and is powered by a 2.0L petrol engine producing 143 hp, paired with a manual transmission. The living module includes a 400 Ah lithium-ion battery, 400 W solar panels, a refrigerator, induction hob, air conditioning, and a diesel heater. The price is 3.509 million rubles turnkey in Moscow, including customs clearance.
