Ford Expedition fifth generation launched in South Korea

The city of Paju, South Korea, announced the completion of the 'Peace Village' camping site in the Tongildongsan area. The facility offers 70 pitches: 26 glamping, 23 auto-camping, 10 caravans, and 11 camp-nic sites, along with amenities. The project cost 8 billion won (approx. $6.4 million), with 6.4 billion won from the national budget. Official opening is set for September 2026 after a trial run.

In South Korea, the owner of a land investment company has been referred to prosecutors on fraud charges. He attracted about 30 investors by promising 40% returns from investments in a caravan camping site in South Chungcheong Province, but no caravans were installed on the promised plots.

The V2L (Vehicle to Load) technology enables using an electric vehicle's traction battery to power household appliances outside the home. The system converts direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC) at 220 V via a built-in inverter. Maximum V2L output is about 3.5 kW, sufficient for several devices simultaneously. When the battery charge drops to a preset threshold (e.g., 30%), the function automatically shuts off, preserving energy for driving.

Kia has started sales of the Carnival High Roof, a new version of its best-selling RV with a 270 mm roof height increase. Available in 9-seat and later 7-seat configurations, prices start at 52.11 million won.

The Kia PV7 prototype has been spotted during road tests in South Korea. The model is significantly larger than the PV5, with a length ranging from 5.27 to nearly 5.9 meters depending on wheelbase. It is built on the PBV modular platform with Life Modules system, allowing the body to be configured as passenger, cargo, or camper van. Production is expected in 2027, targeting competition with Ford Transit and Hyundai Staria.
