Midsummer Bulli Festival 2026

Start date
18-21 June 2026
Location
South Beach, Fehmarn

Europe's largest VW Bulli gathering by the sea

The Midsummer Bulli Festival is Germany's biggest celebration of the VW Bus (Bulli) and vanlife culture, held right on the sandy Baltic shore of the sun island Fehmarn. What began in 2014 with around 200 vehicles has grown into Europe's largest Bulli meet-up, drawing thousands of camper vans and tens of thousands of day visitors. Fans of the cult vehicle camp directly on the festival grounds in front of the dunes, swap restoration tips, grill and chill with friends, and soak up an easygoing endless-summer atmosphere by the water.

The programme blends a vanlife and camping expo with live bands playing beachside, an extensive talks-and-lectures schedule, and DIY and hands-on activities for the whole family. A food-truck area keeps the crowds fed, and a highlight is the island's largest car convoy, in which a parade of Bullis cruises at a relaxed pace through Fehmarn's most scenic spots.
