The municipality of Spirkelbach is establishing 15 permanent motorhome pitches at the sports ground. The new pitches will be located along the road opposite the hard court, directly to the right of the sports house and behind the gate. The existing site at the barbecue area will be removed. According to local mayor Michael Burgard, the decision follows problems caused by numerous motorhomes during the coronavirus pandemic.

Dutch manufacturer Kip has updated its Kip Kompakt caravan with a flexible kitchen featuring a three-burner gas hob that can be used both inside and outside. The caravan measures 5.70 m long and 1.83 m wide, has a maximum total weight of 1,000 kg, and a pop-up roof that increases headroom to 255 cm. The kitchen is available in two layouts: Adventure with a large rear kitchen and Travel with a smaller central kitchen. The removable hob mounts on an external gas connection, and an additional worktop is stored in the exterior compartment. Inside, there is an 85-litre compressor fridge.

Due to the construction of the LWH exhibition hall, space at the Cannstatter Volksfest in Stuttgart is insufficient this autumn. Some showmen are now sleeping in their caravans at a parking area next to the NeckarPark sports pool in Bad Cannstatt.

To prevent frost damage, tire flat spots and moisture problems during the cold months, the vehicle requires a systematic check before the resting period. At Caravan Salon 2026, Ective presented the Solarshade roof awning, which incorporates solar cells to generate electricity. Unlike the wall-mounted version, the new model is suitable for campervans and vans with sliding doors. According to the manufacturer, under optimal conditions it can produce up to 4.5 kWh of solar energy per day. The awning can be extended and retracted via a built-in motor or manual crank; a test model underwent approximately 7,000 cycles without functional impairment. Sales are planned for January 2027, with an estimated price between 3,000 and 3,600 euros depending on size. For comparison, the wall awning starts at 3,999 euros for the small version (350 x 200 cm; 465 W peak power) and 4,499 euros for the larger format (400 x 200 cm; 510 W peak power).

At Caravan Salon Düsseldorf 2026, Berlin-based Anker Caravan presented two Ankaravan caravans, the Mini 270 and Eco 350. Production takes place in Turkey. The Mini 270 weighs 490 kg, the Eco 350 880 kg; both are 2 m wide with 1.90 m of headroom. Prices start at 10,800 euros for the Mini 270 and 16,000 euros for the Eco 350.
