Accident with caravan and truck on A6 near St. Leon-Rot

A truck rear-ended a caravan on the A6 near St. Leon-Rot, causing extensive damage to three vehicles. According to police, a 29-year-old truck driver, around 1:45 p.m., collided with the caravan of a 73-year-old driver between the Kronau junction and the Walldorf interchange. The caravan was pushed into the towing vehicle, which then hit the guardrail. No injuries were reported. The estimated damage is 40,000 euros.

Karmann Dexter 555: compact camper for four with clever roof bed

Karmann has introduced the Dexter 555, based on the Fiat Ducato. The vehicle is 5.99 m long, 2.05 m wide, and with the insulated high roof reaches nearly 2.90 m in height. A second double bed is integrated into the roof and lowers electrically. The rear section contains two separate single beds. Standard equipment includes a 120 Ah lithium battery, diesel heating, cruise control, cabin air conditioning, Isofix mounts, and a heated waste water tank. The Boost package adds a second 135 Ah lithium battery and a 200 W solar panel for off-grid use.
