New EU motorhome safety rules take effect in July

From July 7, 2025, the EU General Safety Regulation II (GSR II) comes into force. All newly registered motorhomes must be equipped with intelligent speed assistance, driver drowsiness monitoring, alcohol lock pre-installation, and a suite of advanced driver-assistance systems (automatic emergency braking, lane keeping, tire pressure monitoring). Industry experts estimate the added cost per new motorhome at €1,000–€3,000. DIY van converters should register their vehicles before July 7 — after that date, even a used chassis will be treated as a new registration and must comply with all mandatory systems.

10 camping destinations in Quebec

Espaces.ca has compiled a list of ten camping destinations in Quebec's national parks. The selection includes Lac-Caché campground in Mont-Tremblant park with 24 sites, Grands-Jardins park with four camping and glamping areas, and Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie park with sites accessible only by bike or canoe.
