Holiday park on the market for £1.5 million

Ceredigion County Council approved a retrospective application to alter the layout of 36 static caravans and 15 lodges at Penrhos Golf & Country Club in Llanrhystud. The number of units will not increase. Changes include reorienting caravans perpendicular to internal roads, realigning lodges into a linear configuration, and minor encroachment northward. The committee found no unacceptable impacts on landscape, residential amenity, or infrastructure.

Argyll Holidays, the operator of eight holiday parks in Scotland, is to be sold after entering administration in November with debts exceeding £103 million, including £40 million owed to unsecured creditors. Administrators increased staff from 97 to 255 to keep parks operating. The sale process is expected to launch within months, though the timeline remains uncertain.

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council has announced the reopening of the Delamont caravan site for the 2026 summer season. Located on the shores of Strangford Lough in County Down, Northern Ireland, the site offers serviced hard-standing pitches. Bookings are available online from September.

British company EcoWagon has unveiled the Expo+ motorhome based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. The model features an automatic transmission, adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera system. Inside, there is a fully electric kitchen with an induction hob, microwave, and 84-liter fridge, plus a bathroom with a waterless toilet. The rear U-shaped seating converts into a double bed. Off-grid capability is provided by three lithium batteries and solar panels. Price in the UK starts from £80,000.

Pennant Park Resort has been acquired by Arden Parks for an undisclosed sum. The 45-hectare holiday park features 72 lodge pitches, an 18-hole golf course, and a refurbished clubhouse. The seller was Wayfind Escapes Ltd, and the buyer plans to add 18 more pitches, leveraging existing infrastructure and planning permissions.

A defective railway bridge at Sandylands Holiday Park in Saltcoats, Scotland, will be removed starting June 12, with completion expected by June 16. Operator Parkdean Resorts cited the bridge's end of life as the reason for demolition. The bridge had been closed since July 2021, leading caravan owners to label it a 'bridge to nowhere.' No decision has been made on a replacement; guests can access the beach via a short walk or free shuttle bus.
