Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is considering expanding the Beddau caravan site by nine pitches as part of a plan to meet the need for Gypsy and Traveller accommodation. The council's Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Assessment for 2022–2027 identified a need for 22 additional pitches by 2027 and five more by 2037. The interim injunction was initially granted on 24 May after reports of unauthorised activity. At the time of service, five caravans were on site; there are now 17. The court ordered that all but the initial five caravans must be removed.
