The city of Jinju has completed construction of a public parking lot designed for temporary storage of motorhomes and other long-term parked vehicles. Located in the Jinju-Ppuri industrial complex in Jeongchon-myeon, the project responds to amendments to the Parking Lot Act effective July 2024, which allow towing of vehicles parked on free public lots for over a month. The 4,346.4 sq m facility has 130 spaces, including enlarged ones for motorhomes. The project cost 2.19 billion won. Towing and storage fees apply, and long-term storage is charged at second-zone public parking rates.
