On the evening of June 14, 2026, around 170 caravans (trailers) of an evangelical community from Cavaillon arrived in Oraison (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence) and headed for the racecourse, causing road closures and police mobilisation. The mayor reiterated the ban on occupying the racecourse, noting the existence of a dedicated large transit area, which the travellers considered too small. Negotiations for an alternative site had not reached an agreement by 22:15, and by 23:30 the caravans left the town centre; an operational centre was activated in the morning to prevent any installation on the racecourse.
