In Boulder County, Colorado, wildlife officers euthanized a bear that broke into a trailer where a 57-year-old man was found unconscious. The door was ripped off its hinges, and paw prints and scattered food were inside. Investigators determined the man had a pre-existing medical emergency before the bear entered, so the bear did not attack him. However, under Colorado Parks and Wildlife policy, the bear was considered a public safety threat and was lethally removed.
