From toy to road: Barbie Dream Camper with engine challenges high gas prices

A 1968 Chevrolet C20 pickup with a 1966 Del Rey Sky Lounge camper featuring three levels is up for auction on Bring a Trailer. The truck is powered by a 396-cubic-inch V8 engine with a three-speed automatic transmission. The odometer shows approximately 97,000 miles, with 2,500 miles added by the current owners. The current bid is $27,500.

A 1937 Pierce Arrow Travelodge Model C motorhome has been listed on Bring a Trailer auction in the US, priced at $36,000. Between 1936 and 1938, 450 to 520 units were produced. The vehicle features aluminum body panels, independent suspension, and power brakes, with a wood-trimmed interior, gas stove, and heater.

The Dyrt, with support from Grand Design RV, has published a ranking of the 10 best RV camping spots in the US for 2026. The list is based on user reviews and includes locations in nine states, from Utah to Ohio.

Investorade Community Holdings LLC announced the acquisition of Merritt’s Beach RV Resort, a 100-plus-site waterfront RV community near Omaha, Nebraska. The transaction closed on Jan. 30. The resort features sandy beach access, a rare amenity in the Midwest RV market. The deal reflects ongoing consolidation in the U.S. RV park industry, where many large properties (100–800 sites) remain family-owned.

Due to flooding on the San Gabriel River in Williamson County, Texas, the Shady River and Good Water RV parks have been evacuated. A temporary shelter has been set up at the Church of the Nazarene in Georgetown.

The Florida and Alabama RV Park and Campground Association has presented a Best Park Award to Sugar Loaf Key RV Resort & Cottages in Summerland Key. The 2026 awards were presented on April 30 during the association's annual Outdoor Hospitality Convention & Expo in Orlando. The resort offers 65 full-hookup RV campsites and 35 vacation rentals, including cottages and bungalows. Since opening in 2023, its rental inventory has grown by 50%.
