Motorhome as mobile meeting and support space

In Switzerland, the 'Rencar' project has been launched — a motorhome converted into a mobile meeting and counseling point for marginalized groups. The initiative started on March 1, 2012, in the cantons of Jura and Bernese Jura. The motorhome will operate six days a week, parking at hospitals, prisons, and public spaces. The project is funded by the church community but does not involve religious proselytism.

Fricktal campsites satisfied despite industry bottlenecks

The Swiss campsite association Swisscamps warned of potential shortages during peak season after the closure of 13 sites in Valais due to natural hazards and one in Bern for nature conservation reasons. The decisive months for assessing the situation will be June, July, and August.

Long-term campers, some living there for decades, oppose the plan, calling it a 'luxury campsite,' and have initiated a referendum. The city council argues the renovation is necessary due to outdated infrastructure and plans to lease the site to TCS for tourism.
