Devon holiday park may close due to leasehold reform

Wychavon District Council has refused an application to increase occupancy at Avon Riverside Caravan Park on Pershore Road from nine to eleven months. Applicant Robert Gaskin argued the change was needed to remain competitive, but development management head Ciaran Power stated the proposal would materially alter the approved scheme, requiring further assessment of intensification, local amenity, highway safety, and flood risk.

Bryan and Luzaan Wright of Gosberton Risegate reported the theft of their Rapido 640 motorhome from their driveway at 5:57 a.m. on June 17, but police did not arrive until 12:30 p.m. on June 19.
