How to read the plate
The site draws a Palestinian plate of the 1994 series: green digits on white, with the Arabic letter ف above a Latin P on the right. It reads as 6-1234-95: the first digit is a district group (1 and 3 Gaza Strip, 4 and 7 northern West Bank, 5 and 6 central, 8 and 9 southern), then the number and two digits for the year or type. Since July 2018 the West Bank has issued plates like 1-2345-A, where the final Latin letter is the governorate of registration, from A (Jenin) to N (Yatta). The Gaza Strip has had its own format since 2012.

History
Before 1994 these territories were issued Israeli civil administration plates. From 1994 to 2018 the first digit showed a district group and the last two the year or vehicle type. In July 2018 the West Bank introduced the current format with the governorate letter at the end.
