Nissan Evalia Returns with PHEV Powertrain

Zhengzhou Nissan, a joint venture between Nissan and Dongfeng Motor Group, plans to launch the updated Nissan Evalia in the fourth quarter of 2026. The model will feature Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) technology and be positioned as an MPV for light off-road use, targeting the growing vanlife market in China. The powertrain includes a 1.5-liter gasoline engine producing 101 hp and an electric motor delivering 208 hp, powered by a 21.1 kWh LFP battery. All-wheel drive is not available, and the estimated price ranges from 79,800 to 127,800 yuan.

Chinese city Rongcheng boosts RV exports

Rongcheng, a city in Shandong province, China, sold 15,112 RVs in 2025, with exports worth 2.06 billion yuan (about $285 million). Key markets include Australia, the US, South Korea, and Japan. Local manufacturers are adopting lightweight materials (carbon fiber panels, modular molds) and customizing vehicles for foreign requirements (insulation, freeze protection). In the first four months of 2026, export value rose 33.2% year-on-year.

Off-road motorhome from Changxing appears in Chinese film

On June 19, China's first motorhome travel film 'North of the Tropic of Cancer' was released. One of the main vehicles in the movie is an off-road motorhome of the 'Amdiro' brand, produced by Zhejiang Ruiye from Changxing. The film was shot across nine provinces and regions, including Tibet, Xinjiang, and Qinghai, in high-altitude and desert conditions. Company representatives noted that the filming served as a real test of the motorhome's features, including its winch, suspension, and insulation. The film also reflects the growing domestic demand for motorhomes in China.

Ford unveils factory-built camper SUV

Ford has introduced the ZhiQu LieMa, an off-road SUV with factory-installed camping equipment. The model is available in hybrid and all-electric versions. The hybrid variant offers 220 km of electric range and 1220 km combined range. The electric version features a 105.4 kWh battery and a range of 650 km. Standard equipment includes a power pop-up roof, fold-out bed, 6.6 kW external power supply, and a refrigerator.

Lanzhong Shanhaipao: a four-wheel-drive pickup motorhome with layout A

Lanzhong has introduced the Shanhaipao pickup-based motorhome with layout A. It features a 2.4-liter turbodiesel engine, a 9-speed automatic transmission, and four-wheel drive. The starting price is 558,000 yuan. Built on the Great Wall G3 chassis, it includes a 48-volt electrical system with a 12.4 kWh battery and a 720 W solar panel. The fresh water tank holds 200 liters. The manufacturer claims the model combines off-road capability with comfortable long-term living.

Xpeng X9 electric van enters Polish market

Chinese brand Xpeng has started sales of the X9 model in Poland, a seven-seat electric van. The vehicle measures 5316 mm in length with a 3160 mm wheelbase. Three powertrain versions are available: Standard Range (94 kWh, 320 hp, FWD) from PLN 324,900, Long Range Pro (110 kWh, 320 hp, FWD) from PLN 349,900, and Performance Pro (110 kWh, 500 hp, AWD) from PLN 389,900. Claimed range reaches up to 615 km, with a maximum charging power of 542 kW.

Next-Gen Nissan NV200 to debut as PHEV MPV in late 2026

Zhengzhou Nissan will officially launch the second-generation Nissan NV200 in Q4 2026. The model transitions from a commercial van to a plug-in hybrid MPV with a mild off-road design, targeting the growing vanlife and camping market. The powertrain is expected to be shared with the N6: a 1.5L engine (101 hp) and an electric motor (208 hp) paired with a 21.1 kWh LFP battery, offering up to 180 km of electric range. Pricing is anticipated to remain accessible, similar to the first generation ($11,700–$18,800).

Yuejie R62 motorhome combines daily use and off-road capability

Chinese manufacturer Yuejie has introduced the R62 motorhome, a vehicle under 6 meters long designed for both city commuting and light off-road travel. It features a 2.3L diesel engine with 174 hp and 430 Nm of torque, an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive. The electrical system includes a 10 kWh battery, 400W solar panels, and a 110-liter fresh water tank. The price is around 200,000 yuan.

Xpeng X9 enters Polish market

The electric minivan Xpeng X9 has launched in Poland starting at 324,900 PLN. It is offered in three versions: a single-motor variant with a 94.8 kWh battery (up to 535 km WLTP range), a long-range version with a 110 kWh battery (up to 615 km), and an all-wheel-drive Performance Pro with two motors producing 500 hp (up to 580 km). The vehicle features an 800 V architecture enabling a 10–80% charge in 12 minutes on a suitable charger. In the independent Norwegian El Prix Summer 2026 test, the X9 charged from 10 to 80% in 13 minutes on a 400 kW station, adding 505 km of range.

New Manntuo DXM5080XLJ Motorhome Submitted for Approval by Dalian New Heavy Truck

Dalian New Heavy Truck Special Vehicle Co., Ltd. has submitted the Manntuo DXM5080XLJ motorhome for approval in the 408th batch of announcements by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The vehicle measures 5995 mm in length, 2550/2510 mm in width, and 3850/3500 mm in height, meeting blue-plate standards and drivable with a C1 license. It is powered by a Weichai WP4.6NQ240E62 diesel engine producing 173 kW, with a top speed of 95 km/h. The chassis is a CDW2104K361EFH from China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Chengdu Wangpai Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd., featuring air suspension and 305/80R18MPT tires. Interior includes tables, beds, and sanitary facilities. Market launch is expected in Q3 2026.

Juntian files new motorhome with 3.0T engine and pop-up roof

Jiangxi Juntian Machinery has submitted a new motorhome model JKF5030XLJD23A for public disclosure under China's MIIT batch 408. The vehicle features a 3.0-liter gasoline engine producing 265 kW, a pop-up roof, and is designed for two occupants. With a length of 5.2 m and height of 2.004 m, it fits into underground parking garages and includes sleeping, cooking, and toilet facilities. Sales are expected to begin in Q3 2026.

Guorunxiang Runchi Brand Motorhome New Vehicle Declaration: China VI Diesel Power

Anhui Guorunxiang Special Purpose Vehicle Co., Ltd. has declared its Runchi brand GRX5040XLJYZ motorhome in the 408th batch of MIIT public notice. The vehicle measures 5492 mm in length, 2069 mm in width, and 2639 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3500 mm. It has a curb weight of 2950 or 3300 kg and a gross weight of 4200 kg. It is powered by the Weichai WP2H series diesel engine, offering three power options: 110 kW, 115 kW, and 140 kW, meeting China VI emission standards. The motorhome is available in 5-seat or 6-seat configurations and includes living equipment such as beds, tables, storage cabinets, induction cookers, and refrigerators. Optional features include different wheel rims, LED front combination lights, and side ventilation fans. The model is positioned for short-distance travel and daily commuting, facing substitution risk from new energy motorhomes, whose sales grew 52.3% year-on-year.
