Käfercamping Deutschbaselitz 2026

Käfercamping Deutschbaselitz is a three-day air-cooled VW camping gathering held at the campsite in Deutschbaselitz, a village near Bautzen in Saxony. The event draws Käfer (Beetle) and classic VW owners from Saxony, Brandenburg, and neighbouring Poland for a relaxed midsummer camping weekend in the Upper Lusatia region.

Deutschbaselitz lies in the gentle rolling countryside between Bautzen and Kamenz in the Bautzen district, an area with a distinctive Sorbian cultural identity and pleasant rural scenery. The Käfercamping format — camping-based, club-organised, no pretensions — reflects the authentic grassroots character of the eastern German VW scene.
