Fourteen parks and campgrounds in Muskingum, Guernsey and Morgan counties (Ohio) are available, including state parks, private campgrounds and the recently opened Hellbender RV Campground at The Wilds. Accommodation options range from full-hookup RV sites to primitive spots and cabins. Most locations are within an hour of Zanesville.

Venice Committee Endorses Removal of Three RVs From Front of Kinney Hotel

The Parking, Transportation & Infrastructure Committee of the Venice Neighborhood Council voted 3-1 to endorse ticketing and removal of three oversized vehicles parked in front of The Kinney Hotel on Washington Boulevard. The vehicles include a Southwind Motorhome, a Tioga Motorhome, and one oversized vehicle displaying an American flag. Pacifica Hotels, which has owned the property for over 30 years, reported loss of business due to the RVs, including 5-10 guests checking out after a fire incident. The hotel cited negative Yelp reviews and safety concerns. The motion will be considered at the August general meeting.

1927 Studebaker camper restored with Ford 460ci V8 engine

A 1927 Studebaker EQ Special Six has been converted into a motorhome after a seven-year restoration completed in 2015. The vehicle now features a 460 cubic inch V8 engine from a 1984 Ford F-350, a C3 automatic transmission, power steering from a 1984 Thunderbird, and front disc brakes. The exterior is yellow with blue stripes. It measures 22 feet long, 8 feet high, and weighs about 6,100 pounds. Inside, the cab has two gray vinyl captain's chairs, power windows, cruise control, and a Kenwood Bluetooth stereo. The living area includes a sofa bed, two 10-gallon water tanks, a water heater, a Unique Appliances refrigerator, and a flat-screen TV. The camper is for sale with restoration photos and an Indiana title.
